Spain overview:
Lots of people own little dogs.
Not as many people speak English as you would think.
The weather is nice and warm, Valencia is hot.
Barcelona’s rail network is messy and confusing but very frequent. Madrid’s is far more organised.
Siesta is a pain in the butt if you’re not used to it - we always happened to be looking for a supermarket when they were closed (1-5ish)
Spain is not cheap (contrary to what I had heard). It might be cheap in comparison to say France, Germany and Holland. But to me cheap is not cheaper than the most expensive countries. Eastern Europe is cheap.
It’s VERY touristy, the most touristy place we've been so far.
It seems almost barren...
Facial piercings are very common for young people.

Spain in general didn’t really live up to what I thought it would be like. Not my favourite destination, but still good fun none the less.
